The hub of Queen's Sport is the Physical Education Centre (PEC) located in Belfast's beautiful Botanic Park. Opened in 1971, the facility boasts an amazing range of sporting facilities, services and programmes to meet the needs of first time users, casual users, top class athletes and life-long regulars. The PEC provides both an administrative and management base for Queen's Sport and plays host to most of the University's sporting clubs.
The vision for Queen's Sport is to be: "The premier University in Ireland (and beyond) for sporting opportunities which are appealing, inclusive and progressive" In order to achieve this vision there has been an investment of over £10 million over the last few years in the Physical Education Centre, including:

•Extended opening hours - weekdays 6.30am - 10.00pm; Saturday & Sundays 9.00am - 6.00pm.
